Walk for Hunger

Help people get the food they need during COVID-19 crisis

COVID-19 is already seriously impacting food insecurity for those most vulnerable in Massachusetts.

The Walk for Hunger has always been about a promise to provide relief to those struggling with food insecurity. And while the physical walk will not take place this year on the first Sunday in May — as it has for 51 years — we will fulfill our promise to support those most in need of help as we raise funds for COVID-19 crisis hunger relief.

Your gift right now means that:

  • Children continue to receive school meals while their schools are closed.
  • Massachusetts residents can call Project Bread's FoodSource Hotline for assistance in finding food.
  • The voices of those most vulnerable to the impact of the coronavirus will be heard in the State House, and scalable policy solutions urgently needed to address this crisis are being fought for.
  • Project Bread is able to continue working for and advocating on behalf of those in need.

Your tax-deductible donation supports rapid response to this crisis, so no one goes hungry

You can also make a gift with a Donor Advised Funds account. Include "Walk for Hunger and participant's name in the designation field.
